James Cook International High School Student Council
The Student Council at JCIHS aims to empower students by providing a platform to express their ideas, lead initiatives, and foster a sense of community within the school. The council works closely with the event coordinator and students to organize events and contribute to the school environment. The council members are also committed to enhancing their communication, creativity, and project management skills while learning to work collaboratively and develop leadership abilities. These efforts help shape students into active leaders and responsible decision-makers.
This year, the Student Council has already made a positive impact by organizing a successful casual day as a fundraising event, supporting future school activities. Looking ahead, the council will focus on organizing cultural events to promote inclusivity, celebrate diversity, and host pedagogical activities to foster deeper engagement with the learning process.
