James Cook International High School Student Council
The Student Council at JCIHS aims to empower students by providing a platform to express their ideas, lead initiatives, and foster a sense of community within the school. The council works closely with the event coordinator and students to organise events and contribute to the school environment. The council members are also committed to enhancing their communication, creativity, and project management skills while learning to work collaboratively and develop leadership abilities. These efforts will help shape the students into active leaders and responsible decision-makers.
This year, the Student Council has already made a positive impact by organising a successful casual day as a fundraising event, supporting future school activities. Looking ahead, the council will focus on organising cultural events to promote inclusivity and celebrate diversity, and pedagogical events, to foster a deeper engagement with the learning process.
