James Cook International High School


Students entering the high school in Year 10 (Seconde) follow an exclusive academic pathway leading to the SACE International (South Australian Certificate of Education).

The SACEi is equivalent to the French Baccalauréat and is delivered and certified entirely in English.

The SACE International Programme

  • 1 preparatory year (intensive English courses, reinforcement of core subjects, etc.)
  • 2 academic years: Stage 1 (Year 11) and Stage 2 (Year 12) 
  • 6 subjects per year (Stage 1 and Stage 2)
  • Stage 1 includes a Personal Learning Plan
  • Stage 2 includes a Research Project 
  • A minimum of 200 credits is required (100 per stage); 20 credits equate to one full year of study in a subject
